Colonel Kedrick Wills began his career with the Idaho State Police (ISP) in 1996. In 2002, he was promoted to patrol sergeant and worked in District 2 in Lewiston for two years. By 2004, he advanced to headquarters lieutenant, serving in the Executive Protection Unit and overseeing background investigations for the department.
In 2006, Wills became captain and commanded District 4. Four years later, in 2010, he was promoted to major and served as the Police Services Commander at ISP Headquarters in Meridian. His rise continued in 2013 when he became ISP’s deputy director and was promoted to lieutenant colonel. In 2017, Governor Otter appointed him as the ISP Director, and he accepted command of the organization as Colonel on July 2, 2017. After a long dedication to the service, he retired in August 2024 to continue helping others build skills of organizational leadership and culture.
